~On The Count Down~

Less then two months and Shane and i will be parents!!! wow i can believe it! it has gone by fast but also slow at the same time. I am on the home stretch...LITERALLY! this baby is getting huge! i seriously think he is big enough and ready to come! This whole pregnancy thing teaches good patience.

Before the baby comes there will be lots going on and i am going to try to work up until the baby comes, so that will keep me busy as well. We have been so blessed with so much and i couldnt be more happy with the way our lives have gone! i have a loving husband and a cute little baby on the way. The first few months of pregnancy were pretty hard. but i do love feeling my baby kick and learning his sleep patterns. i am not a fan of trying to find cute clothes while i feel and look like i swallowed a watermelon. Especially in this Vegas heat! so impossible! I know it is all worth it and am so excited to be able to hold this little guy in my arms and not my gut! haha this is a random post but ohh well! :)

And baby Haas will be named... Drummm rollll pleaasssee....Carter Michael Haas! we have been so excited and we just couldnt wait any longer! we have gotten started on the room. Gotta love Walmart discounts and Michaels! It was so fun sitting there and painting all the stars with Shane as we shared our excitement about baby Carter joining the family! 

 Anyone who has put together a crib knows how much of a pain it is! it took us a good three hours to put this together! so worth it because we love it but man it was annoying! 

 I have loved painting and using things we already have to decorate the room! Paint does wonders!

Carter's Grandma Haas knows us too well! this was the perfect gift to get Carter! Shane was so excited. For those of you that cant tell..Shane LOVES soccer. The first time Shane felt the baby kick was while we were watching soccer. it was so fun to see Shane get so excited. He always says that this boy will play lots of soccer, but i told him we need to sign him up for a few different sports and let him choose his favorite. Shane didnt like that idea, so i said we either sign him up for different sports or we sign him up for dance. I think Shane will make sure he signs up for a few different sports now..haha!

 I feel incredibly blessed and loved! My activity day girls surprised me with a baby shower! they have been such a blessing in my life and make me feel so loved! Thanks to Katie Huntsman and Jill Rowland for putting it all together! I got spoiled by you all!

 Cute diaper cake. i still have it set up and sitting in our crib just waiting to be used. I joked that it was kinda dry, but i guess it will become "moist" soon enough! haha 

Activity days :)

I love being an activity days leader. these girls are so cute! they make me feel so loved and remind me why the simple things in life make us so happy!  We had a recognition night for the girls and it was so fun! The theme was arise and shine forth and what arises and shines forth better then a Sunflower!

 I couldnt find cheap sunflowers anywhere, so i went to Michaels and bought some fake sunflowers that were so expensive and just returned them after..haha! I just needed them for a couple hours so its not that bad right? 

 Love these girls! At the recognition night we had each girl get up and share an activity along with an article of faith. they came so prepared with crafts to share any everything. it was cute to hear them talk about the activities and fun for the parents to hear all that they do while they are at activity days. 

 Each girl went home with a cute book mark, thanks to sister huntsman, and a little baggy of sunflower seeds. it turned out great and i just love my calling. 

Sad Goodbye :(

Shane giving his first true love a hug goodbye. What a bitter sweet moment this was for Shane and I (mostly Shane) we got rid of his little old honda accord! this car has been so good to him! This car is a classic. it has those automatic seat belts that slide back when you close the door and sounds like a little go kart! Shane and i went on our first date in this car and it was a great way for shane to make sure i wasnt into him for his car! haha When we started to get more serious he told me that he loved me while we sat in this car. We drove away in this car after we got hitched and it was decorated in cheese wiz and oreos. On our way home from our Honey moon we got a flat in the middle of no where at 4 in the morning. That was a big sign that the honeymoon was now over! haha When we were engaged, i went to a wedding in salt lake and borrowed this car. when i was on the freeway in the busiest part of salt lake city, in the fast lane, my hood flew open on the free way and i had to blindly make my way off the freeway while screaming my head off. I called shane hysterical and he thought someone had died or i was dying! it was so scarey! i drove four hours back to rexburg with a shattered wind shield! this made me hate that car and never want to drive it again. i think the car was mad that i was stealing shane away! We got a new hood but it was black for a long time. now that i am pregnant we have a more mommy proof car and shane has to say goodbye! 

He is HOME!

So excited to have my brother jamison home from his mission for two years in Baltimore, Maryland spanish speaking. it was such a treat to get to spend just a day with him and to hear his homecoming talk! we had all five of us kids home for the first time in a long time! it was so much fun! 

 PREGNANT SISTERS! I also got to go to my cousin, Rebecca's wedding. Shane was not able to go cuz he had to stay back and study all day saturday. gotta love all the studying for PA school.

 Love both of these girls! it was so fun getting to see them and fun to have my sister pregnant the same time as me. she is a month further then me and having a girl!

 my cousin nichole is such a diva!

 My parents usually have such a quiet house with all the kids gone so this weekend was such a treat for them to have us all there and a very FULL house!! all rooms were fills with people laying on all the floors but we all fit! it was a blast and i always woke up early to get a hot shower!

 Rebecca and Colby Holden were just glowing and so happy! it brought me back to my wedding day and how magical it all felt to me! Cloud 9 for sure! now i was at a wedding but a prego lady!! still cant believe it. haha. 

 This is a fun picture. for the first time ever my parents got to be with all five of their kids inside of the temple! what a treat! it was such a special time being in that sealing room with all of my siblings! we took this picture and you may notice that shane is not in it! we had my cousin that looks like shane stand in the photo behind me and we will crop shane's face over his face so that it is a full family shot! haha brilliant isnt it!? hopefully it turns out good. our family is growing so fast and i cant believe how big it is getting!  in just a few short months there will be 8 grandkids!

 20 weeks!! 

So sad this weekend had to end so fast!! it was so fun while it lasted!

I am officially over my half way mark!

 Its true its true! this baby boy has just 4 month left until he gets to join us! we are so excited and cant believe how fast time is flying by! i am already so in love with him even though when we went to my last ultrasound he was using my bladder as a soccer ball. Daddy was so proud! i dont have much of a bump yet. i am still in the "looks like she just put on some weight in her gut stage." But baby is growing so fast and i can feel him moving around more and more!

 Shane is determined to find this baby some awesome soccer jerseys but no such luck yet. why oh why did he have to pick the least common sport found on baby clothes. 

 My good friend janelle came for a visit. thank goodness she married a guy from vegas! what would i do without her occasional visits!? 

 Shane's mom came for a visit a couple weeks ago and it was fun getting to spend some time with her while shane studied his brains out! she also got us some cute outfits, and not to mention our first pack of diapers. Acorrding to Shane this will be the only set of diapers we need because our baby will be potty trained by then. haha..oh he is in for a rude awakening!

We got to have a cinco de mayo party with mica and mike and shane's parents! this is a great look for carolyn! it was so fun having us all together! 

Our little Munchkin is a BOY!!

Shane and i are so excited to be having a cute little boy. i have had that "FEELING" that it was a boy this entire time and so i was not super shocked! I know that Shane has been super nervous with the fact of raising a girl since he is from a family of 5 boys so i know he was so excited to get a boy first, but next i know we are both hoping for a girl. On my side of that family we have a boy, girl, boy, girl, boy pattern and my oldest brother and sister have kept the pattern with their kids. My brother has boy, Girl, Boy and my sister has boy girl boy and is expecting a girl. i only hope that i can stick with the every other pattern as well! it is so much fun knowing what i am having now! soooo much to do! Shane is pumped to have a baby room decked out in Sports stuff, and so am i..i guess? haha When the doctor turned on the ultrasound at my Monday appointment, i said "boy" before he could even say a word! there was no denying the shot i saw. haha Shane must be so proud! I feel like i am getting more and more excited especially because i am now feeling better! I was pretty sick and nauseous all the time the first few months but that is all gone! now i am just super tired and sometimes a little emotional (according to Shane) hehe.

Let the baby nursery decorating begin! We a sticking with something simple since we are on a tight budget but it is sure fun to look at all these cute nursery's online for some ideas! Shane likes to talk to the baby and tell him all about soccer and his favorite soccer players. he thinks that it will make the baby a better person! hmmm...i am not sure about that one. i havent felt mini shane kick yet but i cant wait. its been easier to work out more since i am not so nauceous so that is nice, but i did find out that i have Interstitial Cystitis. This is something i guess i have always had but since being pregnant it is way worse! anyone that knows me super well knows that i pee all the time!!! it is the worst! since being pregnant tho it has magnified soooo much! ugh. There is a huge long list of foods that i am supposed to avoid to make it easier.This interstitial Cystitis says i should avoid..

This is just a general list of foods that can cause irritation to the bladder. 

• -Try to avoid anything that is spicy, acidic, carbonated or caffeinated.
• - Spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce and pizza sauce
• - Ketchup, mustard, salsa, soy sauce, worchestshire sauce, dressings with vinegar
• - Spices such as oregano and Italian seasoning, barbeque sauce
• - Chocolate
• - Orange juice, cranberry juice, soda, coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages,
• - Oranges, grapefruit, peaches, cantaloupe, pineapple, bananas, nectarines, cranberries, grapes
• - Onions, tomatoes, and green peppers
• - Aged cheeses, sour cream, yogurt
• - Processed meats and corned beef

Oh and then lets add on my other allergies. hmm...the list makes me dizzy so i just do my best and just eat a good balanced diet. i hate talking about it because i dont want people to not invite us to eat or worry about me. i try to just show up to places and eat what i can and not eat so much of the things i shouldnt. i feel like i will lose friends if they knew how many wierd allergies i have!! WHO would invite us to dinner!?!?! haha so friends please ignore this post. i will eat anything or just pick through what i cant have! Dairy i cant ever have! it gives me mega migraines but i can pick through the rest!

Tim McGraw Summer Concert

Shane and i went to the Tim McGraw Summer concert. there were a ton of incredible artists there. Lady A, Tim Mcgraw, Kieth Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift and more! it was awesome!! thanks Shane for being so great at Groupon! he is always looking for good deals but never buys any of them so we can save money but this time he splurged for our date night. it was two tickets for $119.00. not bad eh? i think us getting pregnant made us realize we are on the countdown to not having kids anymore and need to enjoy a couple of late date night before little baby Haas comes. shane and i are so good with our budget and we don't go out much so it is nice to treat ourselves to a fun night out. the Blanchard's got to join us as well. they are so fun to hang out with and it was fun for both the PA boys to get a study break.
